Project Overview
At Sheepcare Community Centre, our Staff play a vital role in reaching and supporting vulnerable children. They give their time to provide mentorship, educational support, encouragement, follow-up, and care to children who face difficult circumstances.
Through the “Motivate a Volunteer Staff to Help a Child” project, we were able to motivate and support 54 staff, enabling them to continue reaching 354 children in need.
Your generosity helped strengthen our staff’s commitment and enabled them to spend more time with children, follow up on their progress, encourage regular school attendance, and provide guidance to children facing challenges at home or in school.
Our Impact
A Child Given Hope
One of the children supported through the program was struggling with low self esteem issues , which affected her school attendance and confidence. A dedicated staff began regularly checking on the child, offering encouragement and helping them remain focused on education.
With this consistent support, the child became more engaged in school and regained confidence. Today, the child is one of the best in her class and continues to work toward their dream of becoming a Teacher.
This is the difference a motivated staff can make—a simple act of encouragement can give a child the strength to keep going.
Challenges and Our Appeal
The number of vulnerable children needing support continues to grow, while the resources available to motivate and sustain our staff remain limited. Rising costs of living also make it increasingly difficult for staff to continue serving without support. We look to pay our staff at the current market rate to ensure high retention rate as many have been leaving for greener pastures, this will cost as $6750 per month
We are grateful to you for your continous support and believing in the children and staff of Sheepcare Community Centre. We cotinue to appeal to you to help us reach your networks to help us continue with this noble task.
God bless YOU.
