Dear generous supporters,
We hope you and your loved ones are holding up in this difficult time of the world.
In today's newsletter, we would like to announce important news on our organization's name change to World in You and invite all of you to join our virtual launch event on March 10th at 10 PM (US Eastern time) / March 11th at noon (Japan time).
WIT becomes World in You (https://worldinyou.org/en/) as of March 1st, 2022, and renewed its corporate brand.
World in You envisions a world where people from around the globe and all walks of life come together to create a better society. Our mission is to cultivate leaders, organizations, and communities that co-create across boundaries – different sectors and countries, to better society. We design and implement cross-boundary leadership training programs, nonprofit board and governance services, and overseas expansion support for social entrepreneurs. Our signature Board Fellow Program, for example, fosters cross-sector collaboration among business and nonprofit leaders by engaging them with critical discussion on nonprofit management and board governance to solve complex social issues.
Why renew our corporate brand?
We have changed our organization name twice. Our original name was World in Asia, and we became World in Tohoku (WIT) in 2014. However, our founding philosophy has always been the same, even under different names. That is to bring people together from all walks of life to make a better world. So we decided to express our vision straightforward by taking off geographical focus from our name. We also renewed our website to explore and realize the vision with more people from diverse sectors.
About our new logo
Our new logo expresses the dynamics of diverse people coming together across boundaries and co-creating, making the world inside of you richer and more colorful.
Join our launch event!
We will host a virtual launch event to share the new World in You and talk about how corporations and organizations can better communicate in the remotely connected world.
Mio Yamamoto and Yuko Mishiro, Executive Director and producer of World in You, respectively, will welcome Yukinori Sakurai and Miho Kazama, co-chairs of RELEASE; (https://release.world/), with whom we worked together on the complete renewal of our website.

Message from Mio Yamamoto, Executive Director, World in You
After several years of extensive discussion and deliberation with our team and constituencies, I am thrilled to announce our new name and website that goes back to our founding principles.
The name World in You does not end there; It means that when the world inside of you meets the world in someone or somewhere else, the encounter can enrich each other's worlds and lead to a better society. That's why World in You provides opportunities for people who have never met before to connect across boundaries, build relationships, learn, collaborate, and co-create for a better society.
To tackle complex social issues, we need more and more leadership and organizations that can work across boundaries and catalyze collaboration and co-creation. Not only is it necessary, but it is also fascinating and rewarding to be able to work together to create a better society from anywhere in the world.
If you also wish to make the world around you a better place, even a little, as the world passes through you, please come and meet us. We look forward to crossing paths with you.
With gratitude,
Mio and World in You Team
