Rebecca, or Becca, is a bright 15-year old teen who has the energy of 10 others combined. She is determined to raise epilepsy awareness and educate those around her. She began having seizures when she was seven, but it has not stopped her in the slightest. To get a little insight as to this determined young lady, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVp4il8oX6s to view Becca's video, "My Story about Epilepsy".
"When I turned 13, I decided to spread the word about Epilepsy. I was in the 7th grade and I asked my Mom and the school Principal if I could have everyone at school wear purple in November. I made purple ribbons that year and a poster. It was displayed in my school library for a year."
Once again, Becca has formed a team for Chelsea's Walk - Rebecca's Cougar Team. Her fundraising goal is $5,000, and we would not be surprised at all if she reaches that. Last weekend, she held "Rebecca Helsley's 1st Annual Bike Ride, Yard and Bake Sale" in Baker, West Virginia. She raised in excess of $200 and is providing those funds to Rebecca's Cougar Team. We hope to personally be able to attend the Rebecca Helsley's 2nd Annual Bike Ride.
