We have some upcoming events to tell you about.  We hope you are able to join us. We are within days of providing our 50th seizure-response dog grant and have just provided our 129th monitor !!! Thank you for your amazing support! We could not do this without your help!

"Shortly after Lily was diagnosed, I learned of the Emfit night time movement monitor! I reached out to the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation, and without hesitation, they provided us with the monitor that Lily needed so badly! With the blessing of this monitor, we can feel secure when we lay Lily down for a nap, or bed at night! It will sound an alarm if Lily seizes in her sleep, and allow us time to get to her with her emergency medication (Heidi, El Paso, TX)

Meet Becca

Soon-to-be SmartWatch Recipient!

Rebecca, or Becca, is a bright 15-year old teen who has the energy of 10 others combined.   She is determined to raise epilepsy awareness and educate those around her.  She began having seizures when she was seven, but it has not stopped her in the slightest.  To get a little insight as to this determined young lady, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVp4il8oX6s to view Becca's video, "My Story about Epilepsy".

"When I turned 13, I decided to spread the word about Epilepsy.  I was in the 7th grade and I asked my Mom and the school Principal if I could have everyone at school wear purple in November.  I made purple ribbons that year and a poster.  It was displayed in my school library for a year."

Once again, Becca has formed a team for Chelsea's Walk - Rebecca's Cougar Team.  Her fundraising goal is $5,000, and we would not be surprised at all if she reaches that.  Last weekend, she held "Rebecca Helsley's 1st Annual Bike Ride, Yard and Bake Sale" in Baker, West Virginia.  She raised in excess of $200 and is providing those funds to Rebecca's Cougar Team.  We hope to personally be able to attend the Rebecca Helsley's 2nd Annual Bike Ride.

Register at ChelseasWalk.org.  Organized walks will take place in Colorado, Virginia (2), Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. Start pulling your teams together!  If you aren't near one of our organized walks, consider showing your support by registering as a virtual walker and/or creating a virtual team or fundraiser to participate.   Consider orchestrating your own group of friends to walk as a group in your own home town to raise awareness - we will provide the t-shirts!  We are looking for volunteers for all walks.  We have some amazing rewards for those who are willing to raise pledges for Chelsea's Walk. Please contact us at ChelseasLegacy@aol.com if you are interested.
