This project will help restore the lives of vulnerable widows and widowers in Kenya, aiming to make the people of substance and change their living conditions and dependence through economic empowerment and self-reliance. We seek to minimize poverty and promote livelihood. Out of their fear and hopelessness, we feel the urge to rejuvenate their lives.
We have currently recruited a total of 150 widows and widowers in the program, in Kakamega County who face grief and hopelessness in the community, they have lived in total dependence on people hoping to find support for their daily living and providence of their needs. they face stigma in the community, often secluded and not given a chance to air out their grievances. The widows are at risk of gender-based violence, our beneficiaries are at risk of poverty, social discrimination, and diseases.
The project will help empower the widows and widowers, help them find their resilience, and foster a safe and friendly environment full of motivation to help them feel included in the community. the project emphasizes on their economic and livelihood growth.
The project will help empower and educate 150 beneficiaries, helping them, it will help them learn the various possible ways that they can stand up on their own and reduce the dependency that they have on people. It will help them rise from poverty and promote sustainability in them.
