Progress Report 3: short video and Chapter 2 and 3

By Kelly Ann Yeo | Project Leader

Hi there our GlobalGiving supporters,

We are excited to share something special with you. During our second learning tour, the AVS team dropped by the farm to shoot a short 2 minute video of our project. We wanted you to get a first look at it, before we release the short video publicly. This is your project too!

You may access it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTkx6XLyHe0

In the video, we share about the 3-part project that encompasses The Agripreneurship Program at Farmcity. Chapter One (your project) is currently ongoing. Tours 3 and 4 will take place on 4th November and 14th November, with Tours 5 and 6 planned for end of November and beginning of December.

The second Chapter (Chapter two) involves a service project, and we are happy to share that we have found a sponsor to conduct the program at Farmcity. This will enable us to continue our work with the same set of 150 youths. Chapter Two - The Service Project, is set to begin next month, on 25 November 2019! Look out for more info on this in our next update.

In the meantime, we are already kicking off the fundraising for Chapter three - The Agripreneurs' Club, which is a 10-session/week entrepreneurial program. This is where the junior youths, armed with the knowledge they have from Chapters 1 and 2, will develop their solutions to improve their local community from idea to a working prototype. The program will run at Farmcity and/or the local community where the juniors are from. Evidently, Chapter 3 will require a lot more resources and help, and so you will notice that we have increased our Global Giving goal to $95,000.

We have been so inspired by the tenacity, courage and brillance of these junior youths, and your help will enable them to continue developing their innate capacities.

Feel free to share and help us reach this new goal!

Kindly,

Kelly and Wesley
