Persons with disabilities in rural Sindh face severe challenges due to limited access to assistive devices and support services. Many cannot walk, hear, or perform daily activities independently, restricting their access to education, healthcare, and livelihoods. Poverty, stigma, and lack of inclusive infrastructure further deepen their exclusion, leaving them dependent on others and unable to fully participate in community life
This project will address disability exclusion in rural Sindh by identifying persons with disabilities through community outreach and providing essential assistive devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and hearing aids. Directly, the project will benefit approximately 200-500 persons with disabilities in rural Sindh through the provision of assistive devices. Indirectly, 1,000-2,000 family members and caregivers will also benefit as the burden of care reduces and household inclusion improves.
