Project Title: Clean Water and Sanitation for Vulnerable Communities Submitted by: Odibu Foundation
Introduction
Over 60 million Nigerians lack access to safe water and basic sanitation. This project targeted vulnerable rural and peri-urban communities with high rates of water-borne disease.
Activities
- Trained 10
community WASH volunteers on hygiene and maintenance
- Conducted hygiene education campaigns reaching 80 residents
Impact
Access to safe water increased by 70%. Cases of diarrhea dropped. Communities now manage facilities sustainably through local WASH committees.
Access to safe water increased by 60%. Cases of diarrhea dropped Yala community.
Recommendation:
Scale with government and donor partnerships for nationwide coverage.
