Dear Friend,

Thanks for your precious support.

Millions of children & youth in Afghanistan need to be hopeful, joyful, positive, inspired & make a bright future. The war, poverty & coronavirus are imposing increasing depression & hopelessness. MMCC for 19 years has been the major source of fun, creating peaceful culture & capacity-building children & youth. Because of the pandemic, we have lost a big part of our donor support at this crucial time. Join us in supporting MMCC & give a unique chance to the children and youth of Afghanistan.

This week all donations up to $50 will be matched at 50% www.globalgiving.org/projects/BackToLife

Your donation finances performances, events, capacity building, & various workshops e.g. climate action & civil society activities for thousands of children and youth. The indirect beneficiaries especially by the national & international media will be millions. Also, MMCC continues & sustains its operations on Afghan hands with a new strategy by supporting the youth who grow up in our ambient & continue activities on their own to keep being a source of joy & fun for millions of children & youth.

We highly appreciate your contributions and also spreading the word and the link on your social media: www.globalgiving.org/projects/BackToLife

Thanks for your generosity

Dear Friend,

Thank you for making a remarkable positive impact in the lives of so many children in such a difficult time. We have uploaded 50 more photos of the activities you have supported to watch and enjoy:  www.globalgiving.org/projects/Best-Winter-Ever/photos

This “Best Winter Ever” was a fantastic time and the over 1100 children will never forget it. This has brought not only educational, artistic and cultural activities to the underprivileged kids but also a sense of belonging and taste of joyful childhood. In all the provinces and districts where the winter program was implemented we made inauguration celebrations and invited parents and community leaders to join.

As the Coronavirus is gradually becoming a problem in Afghanistan we had more focus on health and hygiene education mainly on the importance and correct way of hand-washing. We performed our popular hygiene show (with 2 meters tall dancing hands) and made Coronavirus information activities and hand-wash workshops for children, parents and Afghan media. Video: https://youtu.be/sSdkn0EYGZo

We have temporary stopped all the public activities because of Coronavirus and modified some activities in this difficult time to focus on informing children and families about coronavirus mainly through media.

We are still short in the funds, any contributions would be spent on maintaining expanding and improving our activities in Afghanistan for children.

Thank you for your generous support.

Dear Friend,

Thank you again for facilitating lots of joyful, therapeutic, educational activities for the children who live in war.

Another winter is on the way and we have a brilliant plan of making it the “Best-Winter-Ever” for 1100 underprivileged children in 9 different locations in Afghanistan. Will you join us and help again by donating and sharing: http://globalgiving.org/projects/Best-Winter-Ever

We are doing our best in both producing many educational entertaining activities and capacity building our Afghan colleagues together with our young artists to sustain the activities.

There are a lot of good things happening in Afghanistan and we are all so optimistic and making sustainable progress regardless of all the usual problems of war. We have been making many  compromises since 2002 mainly because of the security to modify and even cancel some of the activities but still keep making progress and growing stronger.

Watch out for our new Newsletter which will be published in two weeks times with lots of good news.

Thank You

Dear Friend,

Thanks for your continuous support and bringing so much of joy to thousands of children.

We have just had our regular festivals and championships. Hundreds of girls and boys in different ages and different technical levels participated in these unique annual events.

All the regular activities of our National Program for Afghanistan have been implemented in Kabul, Nangarhar, Khost, Bamyan, Balkh, Herat and Samangan. The program includes workshops, performances, different artistic and educational classes and even activities such as Parkour.

Urban Challenge which is a new MMCC initiated activity and ideal platform for the resourceful and energetic youth still keeps developing itself. The Oxygen Program is one of Urban Challenge own activities, focusing on Environment and Climate Action. The Oxygen Program started with a number of workshops conducted by different nationals and internationals about the Climate Change and Climate Actions. The workshops were followed by organizing campaigns to inform and educate the people in particular the new generations about how they can practically contribute to save our planet. Here you can see their “Fridays For Future” event: https://youtu.be/Qu-BDTUdp00

The first photo attached in this update is a collection of recent festival performances in different provinces and the second one is the smoke of a bomb close to our center in Kabul. Our hearts go out to all the victims and their families and hope soon peace comes to Afghanistan. Our work becomes more difficult when there are such tragedies and at the same time our work becomes more essential as more children need to be happy and overcome their traumas and experience a happy childhood even if for some limited hours.

Our latest annual report is attached to this update.

Hear you can enjoy reading our latest: Newsletter

PS: Watch out for our next update, we are hoping and excited to bring you good news from Africa soon in our next update.

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your support and investing on children

We have had a very successful period in the last few months in all our centers in Afghanistan. All the planned activities including our winter program, performances, and workshops all have been so successful. We appreciate your continuous contribution to our work for children and youth of war and hope one day you could come in person and see it all for yourself.

We would like to share with you a new short documentary made by RT about some of our activities in Kabul. We encourage you to watch it to the end and get a feeling of how essential is “circus” in the middle of the war! See the documentary: www.rtd.rt.com/films/Cirque-de-Kabul

Thank you
