IBO Italia is supporting the relief activities of FederGev Emilia Romagna in some villages affected by the earthquake. Each week, a group of 8 volunteers leave from their cities in Emilia Romagna to spend some days in supporting Civil Protection activities in the affected areas. They provide equipment and supplies and participate in the rebuilding and restoring action.
FederGev Emilia Romagna associates 11 district groups of 1.500 Civil Protection volunteers in Emilia Romagna departement. During national emergencies, like earthquakes, FederGev coordinates with National Civil Protection the volunteers' intervention in favour of the affected population. Currently, FederGev volunteers are committed, on weekly shifts, in relief activities for earthquake victims in the villages of Uscerno, Balzo and other locations by managing relief premises and camps.
Providing two minivans to FederGev will help the tranport of volunteers, supplies and equipment to the affected areas. Furthermore, the minivans will favour the local transport for people and citizens in needs.
The relief camps equipped by FederGev and Civil Protection will host no only the victims but also the same volunteers. FederGev will keep beeing active on the field for a long term, since they will support rebuilding and restoring activities.
