Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) aims to provide business training and financing for millions of peasant women through the Village Savings and Loan Association approach. This will help to empower women financially, socially, economically and culturally to fully participate and engage in economic and environmental sustainability, which creates a pathway for peasant women to come out of poverty.
Although rich in mineral resources, over 35% population of Africa lives below the poverty line, and are facing food insecurity, poor nutrition, gender inequality, low income, lack of access to finance, lack of savings and credit schemes and high youth unemployment. By relying on subsistence agriculture for their livelihood, the most vulnerable groups including women/girls, youths and those with refugee and disability backgrounds are limiting their success opportunities due to poverty and lack of affordable support mechanisms. in the global context, Africa occupy the largest poverty share, about 67% of the world's population in extreme poverty living in Sub-saharan Africa.
To break these barriers, IAA is providing intensive training on agribusiness and sustainable income, and give direct financial and material resources to youths, women, persons living with disabilities and other migrants to start up their farms/enterprises to see their lives transformed. Other activities include Micro-business training on topics common in rural communities like; Steps in becoming a successful entrepreneur, Advantages and disadvantages of micro-business, How to prepare a simple business plan, Sources of business funding, The importance of savings in micro-business, Venturing into business, what does it takes?, Loan management, Record Keeping and Costing.
Women economic empowerment shapes everything from health to education, clothing and nutrition. When they lead, business solutions are up to seven times more effective. IAA aims to ruduce rural poverty by providing easy financial access and resources to women, so they can create wealth, build peace and participate in nation building. Your donation ensures that we achieve these goals in our community, thank you for supporting our cause.
With gratitude!
