Hope Ofiriha will meet Refugees who travel to Uganda for asylum with microloan opportunities upon their arrival. Uganda does not strictly place newly arrived asylum seekers into refugee camps run by UN and foreign organizations. It encourages foreigners to operate a small initiative to make ends meet for their families and pay fees to educate their children. Under this moderate policy, Hope Ofiriha needs your help to provide microloans to 1000 newly arrived refugees in northern Uganda.
We are pleased for supporting Microloan Initiative in Uganda for years.
By the time of this second reporting:
Trolltech Foundation provided $50,000 a loan money to give small loans to 200 women. Regrettably, the loaners have lost their business assets in a current fight in Juba. We will post a new report on this when peace returns.
With monthly loan capital from Deki.org.uk, we are giving small loans to 100 clients. We are happy because the project is doing well.
Your cash - you donated through GG and direct contributions eight newly arrived refugees received micro-loans to do business so that they can provide their families with basic needs and keep children at school.
In a next quarter, we will send you a new field update report to let you know the impact of your contribution
