$10 – each month is a lot of money in Kampala, and In charity there are no big or small amounts. Each cent counts!
We have adopted footage from Micro credit in rural Lyantonde as Hope Ofiriha video – OUR ROAD MAP OUT OF POVERTY – what is in this video reflects our loan program in Kampala. Please take a couple minutes to check out the video on You Tube which can be accessed here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JrYIj_iQkQ
On May 3 2011 Hope Ofiriha granted loans to 10 new women to start their small scale businesses. These women were trained for three months in business skills. We hope after three months these women will be able to generate incomes, save profits, cater for their; foods, school fees for children, house rent, and healthcare. This is fantastic! Before we started this program they were living in extreme poverty.
But we are still facing the challenges of raising enough money to help more women. We are looking for 10 people to sign up for recurring monthly donation. We ask you to sign for $10 – only. Having $10 from 10 different people each month is better than 10 people donating $1200 in December as a Christmas gift – at one time.
$10 – each month is a lot of money in Kampala and it can do a lot. In charity there are no big or small amounts. Each cent counts!
Thanks to our donors! Thanks to GlobalGiving! Without your help – Hope Ofiriha is not in the position to deliver it Mission.
In next 3 months we will post the new project updates, and also to tell how your contributions are impacting on the lives of these Sudanese women in Kampala. Hope Ofiriha appreciates partnering with you and we will continue to team up until the goal of this project is achieved.
GlobalGiving is giving away $12,000 in bonus awards during this campaign!
Here are the main reasons why you should consider signing up for monthly recurring donations to help Hope Ofiriha;
