Challenge

Girls and young women remain underrepresented in STEM fields. Many lack access to mentors and role models who reflect their identities and experiences. Without these connections, stereotypes persist, confidence declines, and students disengage from STEM pathways. This gap limits diversity in the STEM workforce and reduces opportunities for innovation.

Solution

This project strengthens mentoring networks by equipping educators, program leaders, STEM professionals, and community organizations with resources to foster meaningful connections. Structured mentoring relationships help girls and young women see themselves thriving in STEM, counter stereotypes, and provide critical guidance at every stage of their journey. Your support ensures mentors have the tools to inspire persistence and success.

Long-Term Impact

Mentorship delivers measurable impact: improving retention in STEM education and advancing career trajectories for participants. By investing in mentoring today, we build a more diverse and inclusive STEM pipeline. Girls who see role models thriving in STEM are more likely to persist, pursue advanced studies, and contribute to solving global challenges. Long term, this project helps create equity in STEM and unlocks innovation for all communities.
