Shree Bhogatini Secondary School is situated in a rural village of Letang Municipality, Morang District, in east Nepal. To promote menstrual hygiene management, ECCA provided sanitary pads for the students at this school. Total 141 sets of reusable, washable sanitary pads were handed over to the school child club representatives for distribution among menstruating girls. Leaflets in the local language containing information about menstrual hygiene management were also provided alongside the sanitary pad sets.
The students expressed their gratitude to ECCA for the ongoing support, sharing, “No more fear and no discomfort now in attending class or participating in extracurricular activities during menstruation. "
