Shree Bhogatini Secondary School and Shree Sagma Secondary School are situated in the rural villages of Letang Municipality, Morang district of Nepal. With the aim to create awareness on menstrual hygiene, ECCA conducted an event for the students of these two schools. 80 reusable washable sanitary pads were also handed over to the Child Club representatives of each school for distribution among menstruating girls (altogether 160 sets). Leaflets in local language with information about menstrual hygiene management was also provided along with the sanitary pad sets.
The students thanked for the support and shared “No more fear to change sanitary napkins and no discomfort now to attend class or participate in any extracurricular activities at school during menstruation”.
We also thank you for the continuous support.
