ECCA conducted an event aiming at creating awareness among 200 adolescent school girls about the importance of menstrual hygiene, as well as the distribution of reusable sanitary pads among them. The event conducted at Prerana Vidhyashram School situated in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur district of Nepal, included an interaction session to make the school girls aware of the right menstrual hygiene practices. Leaflets in local language (with information about menstrual hygiene management) were also provided along with the sanitary pad sets. Four sanitary bins were also placed inside the girls' toilets, for safe and easy disposal of used sanitary pads.
The students thanked for the support and shared “No more fear to change sanitary napkins, or to participate in any extracurricular activities at school, or discomfort to attend classes”.
We also thank you for the continuous support.
