Gundi village is located in hilly region of ward no. 13, Rapti Municipality in Chitwan district (south central part of Nepal). Though the village has been included inside the Municipality boundary, the region is geographically very difficult to access. Chepang community, who are underprivileged indigenous group, live in this village. These local people are illiterate and women are unaware of proper menstruation hygiene management.
ECCA recently conducted menstruation hygiene management training in this village. This 2-days training included topics such as personal hygiene and how to make proper sanitary pad.
We thank you for your continued support, which has made it possible for us to reach the rural communities.
