Ms. Sita, President of Baljyoti Women Saving Group is now producing washable sanitary napkin in Punma, Jajarkot in Mid-western Nepal. She was one of the trainees in a training program conducted by ECCA on making re-usable washable sanitary napkins, which can be used for more than a year.
With the support received from ECCA for sewing machines, Sita started a sewing business to produce re-usable washable sanitary napkins. Now, she owns a small shop in her village where she regularly makes and sells sanitary napkins. Production of washable sanitary napkins has helped her to fulfill family needs. Sita has 5 members (3 children, husband and her) in her family.
Sita shared, ”through the selling of sanitary napkins I’m earning good money and at the same time I’m also making aware people on benefits of using washable sanitary napkins.”
We thank you for the support.
