In a supervision that the Tukuy Pacha physiotherapist performed at the Reception
Center María Cristina Alonso, the different needs that live within this institution that
receives more than 87 children, adolescents and young people with different types
of disability were verified.
It was evidenced that there are needs in relation to the infrastructure of this center, for
example: all the windows should have a plastic material to avoid that the shelters get hurt
with the glass that is now in the windows. It is common for children with disabilities to break
glass because of games, accidents or manias typical of people with intellectual disabilities.
These accidents have already generated health problems in some children. Unfortunately,
changing all the glasses of this center supposes a high expenditure of expenses.
On the other hand, repairs are needed in the walls and ceilings of the center because
it is an old construction and humidity and time have worn away this infrastructure.
Although children live in acceptable conditions, these repairs would surely give them
a better quality of life.
However, we believe that the most urgent problem to be solved is that of the supply of
medicines. A significant percentage of the children of the María Cristina Alonso Center
have intellectual disabilities and the treatments for these conditions must not be lacking
to ensure stability in their health condition.
With this small project we will help cover one of the most important needs of this reception
center. Your support is fundamental to fulfill our mission and commitment towards this
group of children, like Tukuy Pacha we will be attentive to your donations and
consultations.
Thank you for your support and trust.
