We're counting our blessings this holiday season at the American Foundation for Children with AIDS. It's been a great year and we have some incredible projects lined up for 2017. All of them with the intention of helping HIV+ children and moms break the cycle of poverty!
Sam is a 14 year old adolescet living in the suburbs with his maternal grandmother. He started care in Decmeber 2003 and his appreciative grandmother testifies that her grandchild would not have lived to see this day if it was not for the medicine and other services Sam has received in the program. She continues with tears in her eyes to say that he was given to her when he was a baby of two years. Sam was very sickly and was admitted to the acute ward several times, crushing any hopes she had that he would survive. Those days are now a memory and Sam is quickly catching up on his studies and no longer feels sick! You will never know just how much your support and the medicine has contributed to the good health and education of her grandson.
Your generosity is making a difference in lives of these children and their families. Thank you for supporting our work! As you make your end of the year giving decisions, please keep us in mind so we can continue helping children in 2017 and beyond. We wish you the best year ever, full of every blessing and happiness imaginable, knowing you are a hope-giver. If you'd like to learn even more about what we do or how you can meet some of the children you have helped, please contact Tanya Weaver at tweaver@AFCAids.org.
