Update on BASR's project and Coronavirus outbreak

By Raneen Al-Arja | Director of Programme Development

Dear friends and supporters,

Thank you for your support to BASR in its crisis, we highly appreciate your commitment to our cause.

The past few months, we received different donations which were utilized to support our laboratory and pharmacy services to all inpatients and outpatients. We were able to purchase different consumables, medications and supplies that supports all of our departments, and allows us to continue to serve our community.

Unfortunately, this month, 25 Coronavirus cases were confirmed and 2500 patients are under home isolation all in Bethlehem, and the numbers are increasing. This has led to announcing an emergency lockdown to the city, and closing entrances to Bethlehem.

As the only non-governmental hospital in Beit Jala, we are currently dealing with this emergency situation, and we still need your support to help us purchase masks, sanitizers, sanitized gowns, fever reducers, antibiotics, gloves and hygiene kits. By following infection control measures, we can help maintain our patients, medical teams, staff and facilities safe, and in turn help control the spreading of the virus in the community as well.

Your generosity has helped us these past months, and we hope that you will continue your support to us by donating and sharing our campaign link with your network.

Thank you for helping the city of Bethlehem amidst this crisis,

Sincerely,

Raneen Al-Arja
