We have been lucky with the weather this winter. We were able to have the Sensory Garden path poured right before the ground started to freeze. Once Spring hits, we will be adding the plants, flowers, rain barrels, and other items to complete the garden for public use.
Also ordered were the musical pieces that will go in the play area, and a peaceful musical piece to be added to the Sensory Garden. These will also be installed in the spring time.
Moving forward, we are now fundraising for the climbers! Climbers will be a great addition to McKinley Barrier-Free Park. Not only will they be accessible, they will provide entertainment for the older kids who need a place to release their energy. Our hope is to get climbers in this year as well.
Stay tuned for more great updates for the McKinley Barrier-Free Park in Fraser, Michigan!
