This project will train and hire more than 10 marginalized women in post-war Kosovo to produce a designer maternal clothing line, using organic materials to create versatile pieces that fit women during and after pregnancy. Selling these items at affordable prices will generate employment for marginalized groups, while the funds raised will finance our healthcare programs such as the opening of 'Mothers Classes'.
Women's unemployment rate in Kosovo is very high, reaching at 36.6%. Women's unemployment rates are closely related to women's lack of education, economic and social independence in the country, disabling them to be an active and decision making voice in the country. This project will affect more than 10 households through employment and over 2,000 mothers through education.
AMC provides training and employment to marginalized women that are sole household providers. The Healthcare Center 'Mothers Classes' will educated pregnant women, mothers and parents on healthy pregnancies, feeding, care for the newborn and other related practices.
The project will build capacities for 10 women allowing them to find employment and support their families/households, in addition to supporting the healthcare education of more than 2,000 women on family planning and parental care, to raise healthier children.
