Project 64160 continues to advance its objective of improving the nutrition and health status of mothers and children in the Char areas of Bagha Upazila and Daulatpur Upazila. Since its commencement on 6th May 2025, the project has focused on promoting a healthy and safe environment in line with GCO’s environmental and community development goals.
During the reporting period, the project’s ongoing intervention framework was implemented for the 6th consecutive cycle, ensuring continuity of community-based support. Key activities completed include field surveys, quarterly coordination meetings, and advocacy and lobbying with relevant local government stakeholders.
With active engagement from Community Clinic (CC) representatives and TYAGI volunteers, counselling sessions and courtyard meetings were conducted for pregnant and lactating women, focusing on maternal nutrition, child health, and preventive healthcare practices. As a result, 5 lactating women and 29 community beneficiaries directly benefited during the reporting quarter.
The progress reflects effective implementation of the project strategy, strengthened stakeholder collaboration, and sustained community participation. The project remains on track to establish a replicable and sustainable model for improving maternal and child nutrition and health outcomes in vulnerable char communities.
