What we know more and more is that sport can promote equity, overcome adversity and create a society where women can take their rightful place. These were words recently recited by the Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation, Gerhardus Oosthuizen, and reflects the push we are driving towards seeing our sports court become a reality at our youth centre!
We are seeking every opportunity to drive sporting exellence in our children and have recently introduced swimming lessons for them at the local university. This is where we also want to train up our Iron Kids 2018 to be best prepared to face this challenge in conjunction with Iron Man in April 2018!
We include our girls as key athletes for such events and we hope to make this court come to fruition on our premises because, whilst it will have a benefit for all the children, we know we can especially channel our girls potential in netball and show that we are empowering our young females on every level!
This is especially pertinent with the drive towards the days of activism for no violence against women and children and so we want to encourage you to donate if you can, spread the word and see our girls become young women with the world at their feet...!
