It is certainly true that South Africa has been in the news lately when it comes to the politics of the country and there is also a lot that can be said when it comes to opportunities around sport,
Unfortunately the inequalities in society impact on inequalities in sport and subsequent participation. It remains sad that full participation in sport remains a struggle for many and this is why it is clear that at our youth centre we need to ensure there are the facilities in place to nurture sporting talent,
Nelson Mandela once said that sport had the power to change the world, to inspire, and to unite people in a way little else did.Sportsmen and women today have a big responsibility in that they need to carry the values they learned into every aspect of their lives. But much of these values are obtained from the commitment to sport in the first instance and associated discipline from being part of a team!
So we are happy to report that WE ARE MOVING when it comes to getting this project off the ground and our children can now see the foundation of this multi-purpose court coming to fruition. And how proud we already were to see our athletics children be triumphant at their school events to start off the year!
If you are able to donate to help speed up the process of this project please get behind this project…because you never know which of our young people could even be destined for a Gold Medal!
