Time flies when you’re having fun!
But that doesn’t mean it isn’t a lot of hard work in between!
When we last updated you all we were about to embark upon the ‘school holiday’ season…which included a lot of memorable moments for our youth at the centre!
This included interactive education on safety & self-defence from local security experts and the police, a game park outing as well as a baking experience at a local kids cooking activity centre all before school started again! Because at Maranatha we do believe in learning AND having fun!
But of course our new school year started again with a bang! Having suited and booted our new high school learners, also getting the news that our oldest girl was accepted on her college course studying hairdressing and making sure our new Grade 1s were ‘school ready’ it really has been another eventful term!
We were also thrilled recently to be visited by one of our first Maranatha boys, now a self-sufficient adult with experience at national companies as an electrician, injection moulder and bottle blower operator - how fantastic to see firsthand the fruits of what is invested in the young people we support!
