During the first semester of 2026, 90 children from our Boston and San Javier community centers participated in music classes held every two weeks through our Building Peace Through Music program. This period was dedicated to exploration and learning, allowing participants to discover different instruments and begin developing basic musical skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
Throughout the sessions, children identified the instruments they connected with the most, with the recorder flute, guitar, and piano emerging as favorites. Beyond music education, these activities promoted creativity, discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence, providing meaningful opportunities for personal growth and expression.
As we enter the second semester of 2026, our focus will shift toward strengthening these skills and preparing for a special milestone: the Fundación Tiempo de Paz Gala Night in November, where all participating children will perform publicly and celebrate the progress achieved through their dedication and perseverance. We are grateful to everyone whose support continues to make these transformative experiences possible.
