Through this project "Time of Peace Foundation" wants to develop an introductory course in music in order to prepare our children in vocal techniques and teaching them to play an instrument as an strategy for carrying our a peace culture in an enviroment of violence and poverty.
Beneficiaries of Time of Peace Foundation are children between 5 and 12 years old in conditions of forced relocation and a high risk of vulnerability, with low levels of nutrition and without alternatives for extra-classes activities, this situation subject children to danger of taking part of violent groups and with high levels of school drop-out.
Through this Project Time of Peace Foundation expects to develop music classes for our beneficiaries as an opportunity of offering kids cultural choices for training them in human values such as respect, tolerance and peace. Children will have music classes for learning vocal techniques and to play an instrument, they could also organize concerts for special ocasions.
This project will give music classes to 40 children between 6 and 16 years old. 28 of them are direct beneficiaries of Time of Peace Foundation and 12 are from influence zone. The idea is to impact neighborhood where we have Children Center.
