The covid-19 situation had receded since summer 2020, but unfortunately a second wave of the epidemic arose, putting the entire population of Senegal under psychosis.
The education of girls supervised by the AJE in this program and even more compromised in this opening period when parents must pay registration fees, school materials and other related costs.
In addition to this, masks are compulsory in schools and the use of disinfectant gels, but parents in vulnerable families are more concerned with finding enough to feed their families than making the education of their daughters a priority.
but the donations received from the fantastic community of GlobalGiving, although for the moment insufficient, made it possible to help to partially pay for the enrollments and the school materials of the girls supported for a good education.
We are appealing once more to the fantastic GlobalGiving community to help us help support the schools of the beneficiaries by distributing them masks and hydroalcoholic gels to fight against the spread of covid-19 in the school environment. But also to complete the missing school materials for the beneficiary girls who start their school year with great difficulties.
