How does Covid-19 impact girls' education program

As part of our program to maintain and support the education of 50 vulnerable young girls in Saint-Louis, Senegal, we have been confronted in recent weeks with the appearance of the Covid-19 virus on our national territory. . Since its appearance, the number of people infected continues to increase: 36 cases in a few days including a 2 year old child. the government and Senegal have ordered schools to be closed and banned all kinds of gatherings that could promote the spread of the virus across the country. This is how we have within our organization a certain number of measures to strengthen the protection and care of children and young people that we supervise in our different programs. So we educate them and their families on hygiene measures behaviors to adopt and respect instructed by the government of Senegal. The monthly meetings and reinforcement courses that we organized for them have been temporarily suspended. We have launched an appeal to our local and international partners to support us in providing children and young people with the means to combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus as well.
This is how we are again appealing to the fantastic community of donors of GlobalGiving so that they continue to support us with various projects posted on the platform.
Recently we received a transfer of 360 dollars from GlobalGiving which allowed us to buy notebooks and books which we distributed to the beneficiaries thanks to your trust and your support.
The work continues, together we can contribute to the construction of a better world despite all these constraints: It is our conviction !!!
