Over million people around the globe become infected with HIV and AIDS-related illnesses each year. These illnesses are life-altering and present severe challenges for many aspects of an affected individual's holistic health. In addition to the illnesses themselves, stigmas surrounding them and the males who have sex with males (MSM) community present their own set of challenges that are often detrimental to the quality of life for HIV-positive folks and their loved ones.
LoveYourself believes that self-worth is key to building an empowered community. We exist to ignite in each individual an active desire for a healthy and vibrant self-worth, especially among the youth and MSMs. Through awareness, education, testing, counseling, fun social interactions, and activities that weave these elements into a unity, we take delight in spreading our message of the value of self-worth and the critical importance of loving oneself and prioritizing one's holistic health.
With a mission of embracing and nurturing one's self-worth and holistic health to inspire others to do the same, this project creates ripples of positive change in the youth and MSM community in the Philippines that will be sustained and preserved for future communities that center the empowerment, support, and freedom to exist proudly and fully.
