Over the past reporting period, 60 survivors at Lotus School have continued to access a safe, supportive learning environment made possible through your generosity. With donor support, survivors received daily protection, structured education, psychosocial support, and essential care within a secure school setting designed to restore stability and dignity. This safe haven has allowed children and young people to focus on learning, healing, and rebuilding confidence in an environment where they feel protected and valued.
One survivor, Amina (name changed), arrived at Lotus School withdrawn and fearful, rarely speaking to others. Through consistent care, trauma-informed teaching, and peer support, she has begun participating in class and recently volunteered to help younger students during group activities. Her teachers report improved concentration and confidence — small but powerful steps that reflect the impact of a safe space where survivors can begin to trust again.
Since the last update, Lotus School has maintained daily attendance, structured routines, and staff-led protection measures that ensure survivors remain safe throughout their learning day. Our team continues to work closely with caregivers and educators to provide a stable environment that prioritizes emotional recovery alongside education. These ongoing efforts help prevent re-traumatization while giving survivors the tools they need to move forward.
We are deeply grateful to every donor who has stood with these survivors. Your support does more than fund a project — it creates continuity, safety, and hope. Because of you, survivors at Lotus School are not only protected today, but are building the foundation for a safer and more confident future.
