LITERACY PEN REPORT 2025

By Vanessa Portilla | Chief Operations Officer

Our Literacy Pen project is progressing well, and we are excited about the developments underway. Currently, we are in the process of updating the design of the Literacy Pen, focusing on improving its functionality and overall user experience. These design upgrades aim to make the pen more intuitive and effective for users, ensuring it continues to meet the diverse needs of learners.

In parallel, we are researching ways to reduce production costs, a critical step in making the Literacy Pen more affordable and accessible to a larger audience. By streamlining manufacturing processes and sourcing materials more efficiently, we hope to lower the cost per unit, allowing us to distribute the device to more individuals and communities.

A key focus of our current efforts is exploring the possibility of enabling the Literacy Pen to function without the need for internet access. This would significantly expand its reach, particularly in underserved or remote areas where connectivity can be a barrier to education. By making the Literacy Pen independent of online resources, we can ensure that learners in all environments can benefit from its capabilities. Our goal remains to provide equitable access to educational tools for all.
