The fourth Covid wave in Vietnam has drastically hit the most vulnerable groups. While several NPOs have immediate plans to provide the people in need with essentials and recovery, they are also critically threatened. Standing beside our NPOs in proceeding with their missions, we call for your contribution to LIN's Covid-19 Response Community Fund Phase 3 2021. Let's join hands together and thrive through this tough time.
Last April, almost 99% of local nonprofits in our network reported being heavily affected regarding funding, fundraising, and distributing urgent essentials to their local communities. Under the high pressure of the social distancing regulations and the socioeconomic consequences nationwide, they had made enormous efforts to survive while doing good deeds to the most affected - laborers with no fixed income. At this precise moment, their works are crucially vital to the at-risk communities.
We aim to raise and distribute a minimum of 550 million VND (~25,000 USD) for the selected 11 local nonprofits that met funding and transparency criteria. Their diversified activities could range from helping disadvantaged children maintain their schooling, the unemployed restore their livelihoods, and the vulnerable groups access necessities and medical services on time. The funds will instantly allow them to continue their projects responding to Covid-19 for the communities in need.
As 550 million VND could only secure their survival in about 3 to 6 months, we want to add a necessary tool for their long run. Once we reach the first remark, we will keep raising the amount and increase as many local nonprofits to be distributed assistance as possible. After the 6-month-period, LIN will provide a Fundraising Capacity Strengthening Program for the grantees. LIN's Covid-19 Response Community Fund shall prolong until social distancing and when life activities stably resume.
