Project report No. 9

By Maja Rubin | Project Leader

Dear friends, dear donors,

We are happy to present you this, ninth report, and to let you all know about our progress in this Project. In our last report we have informed you about completing implementation of the winner project of the seventh generation of the project Lighthouse of Knowledge and started the eight generation of the Project and now we want to inform you that we completed the eight generation of the Project.

We have reviewed the received feedbacks from the participants, partners and organization team so far, and made analysis based on which we have outlined the program and steps for the organization of the ninth generation of the project. Eight generation of the project had a goal to educate more students and to include the cities which are were not participating in previous generations. We implemented successfuly this goal.

During the eight cycle of the project, we educated 40 young individuals from 10 cities. Throughout the cycle, they learned how to draft a project from start to finish and how to make positive changes in their local communities. The topic of ecology was exceptionally strong this year, leading to the development of innovative and sustainable projects.

Winning team from Leskovac with project „Eco-Challenge“ will implement their project in the next period.
The project is an educational competition focused on waste disposal, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection. Smart waste sorting bins will be installed in three elementary schools in our city, and the competition will last for three months. The school that collects the most sorted waste, based on points awarded for specific waste subgroups, will be rewarded with a smart garden for air purification. The goal of the project is to educate elementary school students through interactive learning, while also addressing the pollution problem in our local community.

In the upcoming period, work will begin on the implementation of the winning project of the eighth generation, as well as on planning for the ninth generation and expanding the program to the region, starting with the inclusion of one more country.

We, at ASK, strongly believe that, partnered with all of you, we have performed a great work and that we will achieve even more together.

For all your questions or ideas, we are at your full disposal at any time.

Kind regards,
