Every year our two libraries in Jinja join together and put on a huge Christmas party for their library kids and the surrounding community. This year the Christmas party was 3 days long!
The first day was dedicated to the older kids and other children that our Librarian David mentors through X Suba Sport For Developement. There were basketball matches, lunch, loud music, and of course lots of dancing.
The second day was held at the Masese 2 Danida Library where they again hired a sound system for music, gave out sodas for the community members, and the children sang, danced, and put on a Christmas play.
The third day our Librarians David and Peter, with collaboration from Help One Child Uganda, loaded all the kids into coasters and took them to the beach! There the kids played on a huge bouncing castle, splashed in above ground swimming pools, and had a massive lunch.
All three days of activities were planned and carried out by our Librarians David and Peter. Their dedication to their work and their communities is truly amazing, and it is contributions from people like you who make it all possible.
Merry Christmas!
