LAA had a fantastic first week of fundraising and THANK YOU to everyone who contributed comments and donations!
In addition to financial support, many people came forward connections and resources that are every bit as valuable as a donation. This was a totally unexpected and welcome phenomenon. PLEASE KEEP THESE COMING!
Currently, LAA is working with the Jones School of Business at Rice University to recruit the final member of the core research team. This person will likely be an MBA investigating the emerging markets in areas considered for the pilot project. Understanding how to catalyze local resources and taking a systematic approach to growth will be the keys to the future financial sustainability of this venture.
