Let's help teenagers forget the war in Ukraine

The implementation of the next stage of the project of our foundation “WOODINS Teen Studio” within the framework of the open grant competition “Integrated Humanitarian Response in War and Post-War Recovery” is coming to an end.
Three months of painstaking work that opened up new horizons for our social project. Thanks to the grant, we created a full video course for online learning in the art of assembling mosaic images from wood veneer. 12 video lessons have been assembled that will provide the student with the initial knowledge sufficient to start independent work.
Now we can work with teenagers from any corner of Ukraine. All students need is a desire.
As part of this stage of the project, we have added 25 new students to our collaboration. Several of them are from IDP families, and most of them are girls from our community of DIA children. Of course, not everyone will like such a thing. But there are already several students who are fascinated by this magical art and have a strong desire to continue their studies and further cooperation.
Participation in WOODINS Teen Studio allows a teenager to earn money through tireless, interesting and creative work, in their free time from school and without leaving home. We give the emerging personality the understanding that work is not a punishment or a heavy duty. But above all, an opportunity for self-realization and a creative approach.

We are pleased to announce that the grant project of our foundation CREATIVE MARQUETTE WORKSHOP FOR TEENAGERS WOODINS TEEN STUDIO has been completed. Thanks to the funding provided to us by the ICF "Alliance of Public Health", we managed to hold master classes and provide basic skills in assembling mosaic sets from wood for 18 teenagers. This turned out to be a little more difficult than we imagined. The number of those wishing to participate in the training has significantly decreased compared to 2022, when we launched the studio and held the first set of students. Perhaps the absence of teenagers during the holidays and the general departure of children and parents abroad of Ukraine were signs. But be that as it may, the tasks we specified for the duration of the project have been fully completed.

image viber 2024-09-24 09-41-12-643We are infinitely grateful to the ICF "Alliance of Public Health" for the opportunity given to us to give a new impetus to our social initiative. We continue to develop the studio, continue to recruit students, and already have ideas for developing the project outside of Kyiv. This promising direction is already being worked out, the first willing students have been found, and soon the trial stage of distance learning for teenagers will begin. We are confident that the development of this direction will find greater demand among teenagers who currently live in depressed and war-torn regions of Ukraine.
