We are a private, non-for-profit program, and for many children with autism, the only educational alternative in Venezuela. We serve more than 450 families annually, a 45% increase in ten years. We provide specialized, comprehensive education, assessment services, family advice and need-based financial support. 2021 is our 15th birthday, 5475 days of hopes and achievements. Your trust and unwavering support motivate us, the resilience and gratitude of our families inspires us.
COVID remains a threat, yet life goes on. Responding to the needs of our families remains our priority. We must creatively cope with the situation, ensuring the safety of our kids, staff, and families. How do we cost effectively ensure the wellbeing of our families and their loved ones with autism, today and in the future? For many people with autism, we are the only educational alternative in Venezuela. In 2020 we directly served 510 families. In 2021, 338 families. We must continue to do so.
Inspired by our community's resilience and support we have implemented new programs, and cost-reduction initiatives to increase our services reach and scope. Through creative thinking we addressed challenges by providing family oriented remote services, respite and assessment services at our facilities and developed e-learning training. In September 2021, we reopened our in-classroom services, while maintaining our remote and hybrid support services - COVID protocols are in place -
Continue to operate, provide and develop educational services to address the developmental needs of those with autism, with access to need-based financial support for all. In the face of hardship, our community has chosen the path of resilience. We are committed to moving forward, learning, improving, and being a role model for those living with autism. We seek to develop the skills of children/teens with autism and their families, in order to facilitate their effective integration into society.
