Project Report | Aug 15, 2025
Clean water and hygiene for rural African communie

By Ekabole Joy | CEO/Founder

Clean Water & Hygiene for Rural African Community

Summary
We aim to provide over 200 households with safe, year-round water and improved hygiene through a borehole, handwashing stations, WASH kits, and hygiene training. This will reduce diseases like cholera and typhoid, improve school attendance, and free women’s time for income activities.

Challenge
The community depends on unsafe streams and ponds, causing frequent waterborne illnesses. Women and children walk long distances daily for water, affecting education and livelihoods. The absence of hygiene facilities worsens the problem.

Solution

  • Drill and install a clean water borehole.
  • Build handwashing stations in public areas.
  • Distribute WASH kits (soap, water containers, hygiene supplies).
  • Deliver hygiene education to promote lasting healthy practices.

Long-Term Impact
Access to clean water will lower healthcare costs, keep children—especially girls—in school, and help women focus on income generation. Hygiene awareness will sustain a healthier, more productive community.

Every gift brings clean water closer to 200 families. Your support today will create lasting change.
