n order to ensure the protection of children's rights, it is imperative to allocate sufficient funds in the relevant budget. Concrete steps should be taken to implement existing laws and provide necessary resources. These sentiments were expressed by Waqas Abid Advocate, President of the Good Thinkers Organization-Pakistan, during a meeting with Child Rights NGOs, working at District Level in Punjab. It was emphasized during the meeting that all social organizations should join forces to ensure the protection of children's rights. Waqas Abid clarified that the Child Rights Protection Network Punjab, which has grassroots-level representation from every district, will continue to play its role through various programs to safeguard children's rights at urban and rural levels. The district body of the Child Rights Protection Network requested the government to legislate effective laws to curb underage marriages and set the age limit for girls at 18 years. Strict penalties should be proposed for violations. Along with the implementation of the Juvenile Justice System Act 2018, sufficient financial resources should be allocated. No child under the age of 18 should be allowed to work at the household level. Free and compulsory education laws should be implemented, and immediate provision of resources should be made to ensure that every child is enrolled in school and receives quality education. It should be noted that the Good Thinkers Organization, the founding organization of the Child Rights Protection Network, will soon convene a provincial conference to mobilize all NGOs working for the protection and advancement of children's rights in the province, encouraging them to actively contribute under the joint action plan, aligning their social mindset and dedication to the protection and development of children's rights.
