It is incredibly devastating to watch what is unfolding in Southeast Texas, leaving many of us feeling helpless and hopeless. As a small shelter, we know this struggle all too well. We are asking our supporters to come together in the face of this unprecedented devastation; donate, foster, adopt, spread the word. Let's show Southeast Texas just how much we care and how strong we are. Dog n Kitty City is pledging to help support displaced animals in need, but we cant do it alone.
Southeast Texas needs our help! As the impacts from Hurricane Harvey are realized, more and more Americans are losing everything; their homes, cars, belongings, etc. Many of these people are animal lovers like us, and they are in need of temporary solutions to help with their displaced, beloved pets. They want to know their pets are being cared for while they survive through one of the most unprecedented natural disasters of our lifetime.
As a Team, we can help! We are asking all of our supporters to come together and help us help the displaced animals in Southeast Texas. We have already agreed to take in displaced dogs and cats from Rockport, TX, but space is running out. We need foster support! With the money raised from this campaign, we will support our fosters who take in Hurricane Harvey animals. Money will also be allocated to helping other, affected non-profit shelters in SE Texas care for animals and rebuild.
Though it will take several years for Southeast Texas to rebuild, we can help this process along by offering our support NOW. If we can allow donations to pour in today, non profit shelters can feel confident and enthusiastic about rebuilding, coming back stronger than before.
