Fundacion Escuela Nueva will provide learning resources and materials to five rural schools in Vaupes (Colombia), benefiting approximately 125 under-resourced children, mostly indigenous. These didactic resources can contribute to educational quality by encouraging the development of students research spirit and autonomy and fostering the active and cooperative learning processes and environment promoted by the Escuela Nueva model.
Many rural, marginalized Colombian learners lack learning resources and manipulatives, particularly important in elementary education to develop creativity and higher thinking skills. This reality continues to broaden the gap between rural and urban education and perpetuates the cycle of poverty.
Fundacion Escuela Nueva will provide non-expendable learning resources and materials that help promote cooperative and active learning. These learning resources can enable research and exploration skills, helping students to develop their creativity and higher thinking skills. Our goal is for all children, regardless of their context, to have access to quality education and opportunities to develop their human potential.
Over 125 children, mostly indigenous, from rural areas of Vaupes (Colombia) will have access to high-quality education material that will contribute to making them curious and autonomous learners and improve the quality of their education.
