Executive summary

The hurdles caused by Covid-19  in operating educational institutions still hoover around our school given the increasing number of youth, idleness, gambling rate, prostitution or formation of organized groups of street gangs on the bad side that the pandemic had saved the public from but with and increase on the side of income to feed families and youth needs.

Our operation in 2021 when we introduced a workshop-based approach that allowed us conduct training was a big blessing. We hope to acheive the target of 90 by end of 2023 given the low enrolment.

Six tailoring students are on a full time sponsorship as funds for allowance have been covered for upto October 2022. Two of our current trainees’ parents paid half of their tuition fees while 1 is not currently attending studies as they have not paid his fees for term two. We got six donations made through GlobalGiving Foundation platform by our monthly donors making a gross amount of USD192.84 for this project while for our micro projects all receipts and disbursements were reported accordingly. The expenses made on this project in this period was USD201.70

Our Construction department received an increase in enrolment though pyment of fees remains a detaring factor. Two of the electrical trainees are ready for examination but DIT conditions does not allow so they continue to wait for another 3 new trainees to complete studies inorder for the five to be registered for examination as required by the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT).
