For centuries, libraries have stood as venerable bastions of knowledge, culture, and education, shaping minds and nurturing intellects across generations. Essential pillars of learning, libraries play a pivotal role in the academic journey of students, offering not just a wealth of academic resources but also fostering an environment conducive to learning, research, and personal growth. As indispensable components of the educational landscape, libraries enrich the student experience, equipping learners with invaluable skills that transcend the confines of academia, guiding them towards a future of boundless possibilities.

At Vidya Jyothi Library nestled within the vibrant Kuppam Campus, the past quarter has been marked by a flurry of activity and achievements that have brought us closer to our vision of fostering a culture of reading, learning, and community engagement. Here's a glimpse into our recent accomplishments:

  • Library User Engagement: Community Library Project

Summary of Accomplishments

  • Library Collection:
    • Books Received: 55 books were donated by individual contributors.
  • Book Cataloging:
    • 120 books were cataloged during this quarter (April - June 2024).
  • Book Grading:
    • 80 books were graded in this quarter.
  • Library Activities:
    • The "Repeat Visit" sessions were successfully conducted during this quarter.
  • Special Engagements:
    • A session titled “Rebuilding Stories with Selected Images” was conducted for government teachers.
  • Community Library Activities:
    • Special Events 
      • Kolatam Practice: Held on Environment Day.
      • Village Visit: Village visitd were conducted.
      • Story Reading and Book Utilization: Activities focused on story reading and the use of library books.
      • Book Creation: Students created storybooks and donated them to their school at DNTW Somapuram.
      • Teacher Engagement: Interactive teachers traininh interactions were conducted
    • Visitor Feedback:
      • Visitors shared positive feedback about their experiences at the library.
