Vidya Jyothi Library at Kuppam Campus

The Vidya Jyothi Library in Kuppam is a vital hub for education and knowledge, offering a diverse collection of books, journals, and other resources. Located in the heart of Kuppam, it caters to diverse interests and needs, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals from all walks of life. The library provides a platform for discussions, sharing ideas, and expanding knowledge, offering opportunities for connections and learning. As a symbol of knowledge, accessibility, and community engagement, the library continues to empower individuals and contribute to the intellectual growth of the community.

It focuses on:

  • Books Acquisition.
  • Books Cataloguing.
  • Books Grading.
  •  Library Activities.
  • Library books users
  • Community Library Project

 Summary of Accomplishments:

1. Library Collection of Books: 119 books received from individual donors by Dr. Aatre. Similarly, puppets were donated by Dr Bhanumati. 

2. Books Cataloguing:    1629 books cataloguing have been done in this quarter from April to June)

3. Book Grading: 213 books have been graded this quarter.

4. Library Activity:   Regular school sessions were conducted in the campus library.

5. Library Book users:  Around 1219 Students, 62 Teachers, 89 staff along with  7 visitors were able to access the resource materials from the library.

6. Government teachers were trained on the “best out of the waste.” (re-utilization of plastic containers).

7. External Support was given to other regions: A 2-Day training was conducted for 31 MSL Library instructors and 16 Operation Vasantha volunteers at North Karnataka (Hubballi & Belagavi ) on the 17th & 18th June'23.

 **Unique Students at Kuppam Campus Library from April’23 to June’23 were a total of 1219 students, and 151 teachers.

**Total Exposures at Kuppam Campus Library is 3,300 student exposures.

 8. Library Activities - Community Library

  • The community visited the Kuppam campus and a summer camp was organised in May. 
  • Dr Venkataswamy and his family donated 5 books on Geology & Environment change.

Furthermore, the library provides a tranquil and conducive environment for studying and research. Equipped with comfortable seating arrangements, ample lighting, and a peaceful ambience, it ensures that visitors can immerse themselves in their studies or delve into the pages of a captivating book undisturbed. Moreover, apart from its extensive collection and state-of-the-art facilities, the library hosts a wide range of educational and cultural events. These events encompass book clubs, author talks, workshops, and exhibitions, all of which foster a sense of community and intellectual engagement among its members.
