Dengue has become a worlwide disease now-a-days which is caused by mosquitoe's sting. Mosquitoes breed and multiply in slums and stagnant water and make the localites victims of several diseases among dengue is the one. Most of people are not aware of the disease and subsequently it becomes fatal. The patients mistake to consider it an ordinary fever due to the lack of information and the carelessness leads them to death.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, organized a workshop to make people aware of dengue and other mosquitoe prone diseases. The workshop was held on 2nd October and the community attended the workshop with interest. Expert doctors explained the causes, symptoms and cure of mosquito prone diseases. A cleanliness campaign was also held in the workshop where our activists and localites made the surroundings clean, level the pots of stagnant water in order to keep them free of mosquitoes. A cleanliness rally was organized by students and women to make the workshop successful and to have a greater impact on the community.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, had a cleanliness campaign and workshop in Nuriyawas last time. Nuriyawas is one of the regions affected by mosquitoes and last years seven dengue patients were found in the region. The organization organized a cleanliness campaign on a large scale in the region and its impact can be seen this year. Only 2 dengue patients have been found in the region yet this year who are being cured in government hospital and now out of danger. The public representatives of Nuriyawas praised the efforts and heartly thanked to GlobalGiving Foundation and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan.
