Slum and street people do not get proper sleep many times and there are many reasons behind it. One of them is mosquito, mosquitoes are responsible for many illness and life threatening diseases like malaria, dengue etc. These slum and street people do not have so much money to build a house so they live in small huts/shelters which are not properly covered hence mosquitoes could easily come and make someone ill. Nor these people have proper resources to face the mosquitoes and protect themselves from the life threatening diseases caused due to these small insects. These people do require protection from the mosquitoes in order to have a better sleep and also to have better health.
In this context, RSKS India already three month ago distributed 500 medicated mosquito nets to 500 slum and street families which hence was able to protect more than 1500 people of these families. The team went to do the feedback of the program and to listen to the review of the families. These feedbacks are used to make program better in the future and also to know about the effectiveness of the program. RSKS India Collected the feedback to ensure the beneficiary participation at all the stages. The team went door to door at the beneficiaries of the Kill Malaria, Save Human life program of RSKS India to identify the condition of the mosquito net which was earlier distributed by RSKS India.
The RSKS team found out many positive results of the program and the most important one was this that the ill or sick cases from these families were reduced gradually. The slum and street families had a sigh of relief due to the Kill Malaria, Save Human life program of RSKS India. It had saved many lives in the slum and street children. These people are following all the safety like not letting water to lodge nearby their slums, adopting cleanliness, sleeping inside mosquito nets etc. These people are now sleeping with ease and are having proper sleep at night. This program of RSKS India not only solved the issues of malaria it also solved the issues related to hygiene, cleanliness and the diseases caused due to mosquito as now the slum and street families have adopted good practices to not let mosquito ruin their life. All of the slum and street people thanked RSKS India & Donors from bottom of their heart for this wonderful support.
