Kill Malaria, Save Human Life

Mosquito has become one of the most dangerous organism now-a-days. Despite being small in size, mosquito causes fatal diseases. Lakhs of people get infected from the mosquito caused diseases and many of them loos their priceless life. Mosquito affects slums the most as the surroundings in slums are favourable for its growth. In the lack of knowledge and awareness, innocent kids and many others become its victims. It is often seen that water gets stagnated in slums after rainfall and in the absence of proper drainage system, mosquitoes reproduce in the stagnated water and causes several fatal diseases as dengue, chikungunya, malaria, zika virus that later become the reason of death of many of people.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organizes many programs to make people aware of mosquito caused diseases. RSKS, with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors, is operating "Kill Malaria", under which we make people aware of the issue through workshops. In the current session, under "Kill Malaria", RSKS distributed 58 mosquito nets in seven slums of the city.

First, RSKS identified seven slums that were affected by mosquitoes the most, then 58 mosquito nets were distributed in the slums. The localites were happy to get the mosquito nets as they could be able to have sound sleep withouth any fear of mosquitoes. An old man from one of the beneficiary families told RSKS than two young boys were died of dengue and malaria last year. But, now we could have sound sleep with the help of mosquito nets given by RSKS. The old man along with all the localites thanked RSKS especially GlobalGiving and the donors from the bottom of the heart to keep them safe from the attack of mosquito.
